Image via Wikipedia Today is my youngest sister’s (and brother’s) 18th birthday. I managed to talk to The Diva before she headed out to celebrate with her boyfriend and I asked her if she was planning on registering to vote-as that was the most important part of being 18.
She assured me that she had the paperwork filled out, she just had to send it to the proper place. She then asked me who I was planning on voting for. I told her that I wasn’t sure yet (which is true. I like Obama a lot-especially while reading his “The Audacity of Hope“-but I’m not keen on Biden). I asked her who she was planning on voting for and she said that she would be voting for Obama.
Her reasoning? Because McCain seems kind of lame (okay, not her exact words) and Sarah Palin reminds her too much of Britney Spear’s mother!
That gave me a laugh. I wonder if SNL is hiring writers?

With all the mud slinging going on I think they just might be writing that crap.. Cause only they would come up with someything like Pigs and lipstick…

My sister just turned 18 too and I asked her the same question. Then I asked her who she’d be voting for, and she also said Obama. When I asked her why – she said “Because McCain sucks”. When I asked her what made McCain “suck”, she couldn’t really answer.
Aaaah the future of our country.

It’s nice to hear your sister’s voting. I couldn’t wait ’til I could start voting. Now I bug everyone to make sure they all get the paperwork done and get their butts to the poling stations on voting day.
