Heads or Tails: Mother

This week’s topic at the Heads or Tails meme is “Mother”.  Considering this Sunday is Mother’s Day in the United States (and possibly some other countries), it’s a very apt subject.

I could probably write a book about my own mother and our relationship.  Unfortunately, due to the nasty tetanus shot I aquired recently, my arm is quite sore (much worse than my face actually), so in order to keep the pain level down a bit, I will instead post a video.

  • I haven’t heard this song in so long! That’s the 90s, right?

When I read the name of the singer, I instantly heard the melody, funny. I used to like the song when it played on radio when a teen.

The video is pretty good too. Good pick!

  • I hope your arm feels better soon.

  • I hope you are feeling better very soon!!! I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Mother’s Day has never been one of my fav times. My mom died when I was three, and all through grade school I would be FORCED to make Mother’s Day presents with the word MOM on them. Now people are a little more enlightened and kids have leeway in choosing who they go to. What would it have hurt to let me write, “Gram”?

Anyway, enjoy your mother, even when she makes it difficult. There are people who envy your having her.

  • Hope you’re feeling better soon.

  • Ow, those tetanus shots to the arm are rough. I got one back in college for a trip we were going on and I felt like my arm was going to fall off.

  • Sorry about your arm. (And sorry I didn’t watch the video) I hope you have a Happy Mother’s Day! :)

  • Ooh, I used to love that song!! :) I had totally forgotten about her.

  • Take care of your self.

  • You certainly have been through the wars. I hope you are feeling better soon. I never had to do the mothers day thing but fathers day I did not particularly share the euphoria about it all . My dad became an alcoholic and it was easier not to be around him.
