The Daily Meme Roundup
The first meme I’m participating in today is the Saturday Six.
1. In terms of motivation, what gets you out of bed in the morning?
Usually it’s more like mid afternoon…but I suppose my motivations are 1. See and spend a bit of time with loved ones in between my work shifts. 2. Having some me time to write, read, listen to some music and generally relax before heading back into work. My days off are easier and I don’t need much motivation there.
2. If you could sleep without having to get up at your normal time, how much later than that would you sleep on your own?
On days that I work (and I don’t have to be at work at 3pm like on Sundays I tend to wake up on my own around 1:30-2:30pm. On my days off when I actually have a normal sleep schedule I’m usually up by 9am.
3. How often do you take a nap? If your office made napping a legitimate option, would you take advantage of it?
I’m a big fan of naps. That’s all I’ll say.
4. Take the quiz: Are you lazy?
According to the quiz, I’m a busy bee.
5. Other than your bed, where in your home are you most likely to take a comfortable nap?
The couch.
6. When was the last time you took a workday off so that you could lie around the house doing absolutely nothing for the whole day? Would you be likely to schedule such a day in the next three months?
No clue. If I take a day off, it’s usually for a specific reason OR I’m legitimately sick. Everytime I get the urge to call out just for the hell of it, I end up going in anyway.
Moving on to The Saturday Special:
1. How many hours a day do you watch TV?:
Very very few. If I watch tv, it’s at work and it’s not my primary focus.
2. How many days in a week do you cook at home?:
Not many at all! I’m sure that’ll change when I have a place of my own…but right now I just eat whatever the rest of the family is eating.
3. How many times a month do you go to the movies?:
Once, if I’m lucky.
4. How many vacations do you take a year?:
One, if I’m lucky.

In that case, there’s a meme up at my place. Highly unusual, I know, but I am in an unusual mood. I actually considered this one for a moment, but realized that just because you made it seem interesting doesn’t mean that it is when applied to me.

Oh hey! You already visited the meme at my place! I really need to slow down and pay attention. Too busy and barely finding time to squeeze blogging in (usually during times when I should be sleeping)!

I too would operate on a different schedule if I didn’t have that day job getting in my way all the time.
