Why don’t you Zemanta?

If you have been paying attention to my recent blog entries, you would have noticed that they looked a tad more colorful than normal.  I have started including a picture with nearly every post and appropriate links have been scattered throughout my writing.

If you are curious about why or how I’m doing all this, it’s all quite simple.  I have employed a simple, yet very effective tool known as Zemanta.  Zemanta is a pretty smart application in that it “reads” what you are writing-and periodically makes suggestions for direct links, pictures, and related articles that you may choose to include in your blog to add a bit more depth.

Zemanta works with the three major blog providers (Blogger, Typepad, and WordPress) as of now and only works with Firefox (but then again, who doesn’t use Firefox?).  It is a very simple application to download and set up and once running, it is even simpler to use.

If you are interested in adding a little something extra to your blog, I recommend giving Zemanta a shot.  It’s free to use, easy to operate, and a real time saver for those who like using links often.

  • Thanks for giving Zemanta a spin. Also note that for some links you can also select from different sources. Either linking to Wikipedia or to Amazon, IMDB or a homepage.
